About the Author:

Linda Merlino is a long-hand writer. The fiction in her head eventually turned into words on a yellow legal pad and as a mother she began to write anywhere, any time. No place was her scared space. She wrote in her car during soccer practices, under an umbrella on rain-drenched sidelines, in fast food restaurants and in chain hotels.
Hudson Catalina filled a carton in her back seat among soccer balls and tailgate paraphernalia, eventually finding its way onto her computer. Linda was born outside of Boston and has made her home in Connecticut for the past several years. Her children are grown and it is to them that she dedicates her writing.
